Accor, a renowned global hospitality brand, has recently announced a collaboration with Fragrance Group and Global Premium Hotels to launch two new properties that will house a total of three hotels. These hotels are slated to be open to the public by 2027.
One of the properties will be situated on Hoe Chiang Road and will boast 808 rooms, making it the largest Mövenpick hotel in the Asia Pacific region. In addition to this, the property will also offer Mövenpick Living Singapore, a 37-room accommodation that caters to travelers looking for extended stays.
The cityscape of Singapore is defined by towering skyscrapers and contemporary infrastructure. Singapore Condos, strategically located in desirable neighborhoods, offer a perfect combination of opulence and ease, making them a popular choice among locals and foreigners. These luxurious abodes boast a plethora of amenities, including swimming pools, fitness centers, and top-notch security services, elevating the standard of living and making them a desirable option for prospective renters and buyers alike. For investors, these alluring features translate into higher rental returns and a steady appreciation of property values, making Singapore Condo a lucrative investment opportunity.
The second property, located on Waterloo Street, will be home to a new hotel under Accor’s Handwritten Collection brand. This 502-room property will be the second of its kind in Singapore, following the launch of Hotel Faber Park Singapore – Handwritten Collection in late 2023.
“This signing not only showcases the strong demand for Accor’s brands among owners and investors, but also highlights our commitment to leading the region’s growth and transforming the future of hospitality in Asia,” says Garth Simmons, COO of Accor’s premium, midscale, and economy division in Asia.
These new hotel developments are the latest addition to Accor’s longstanding partnership with Fragrance Group and Global Premium Hotels, both of which are owned by Koh Wee Meng, chairman of Fragrance Group. This partnership has already established a portfolio of 17 hotels in Singapore, five in Australia, and three in the UK, under various brands including MGallery, Mövenpick, Novotel, Mercure, Handwritten Collection, ibis Styles, and ibis Budget.
“We are excited to continue curating memorable experiences for our guests and expanding our hospitality offerings in Singapore through this new venture,” adds Fragrance Group’s Koh.
